When

We meet on the second Saturday of each month (Meeting Schedule). The meeting room opens at 8:00 am and the business meeting starts at 9:00 am. The business meeting lasts for no longer than an hour.

 

Where

We meet in the Flowing Wells High School auto shop classroom. The Flowing wells map is an interactive google map and can be used to get driving directions to the Flowing Wells Highs School. The high school fronts on Flowing Wells road. The cross streets are Prince Road to the south and Roger Road to the north. The auto shop map gives directions to the parking area from both cross streets.

 

Activities

The first hour is for networking and viewing the galleries. At each meeting there is an instant gallery table where members and guests can display their work. Each person can bring up to three items. The instant gallery has two tables. One of the tables is for items you wish to be reviewed. There is also a Presidents Choice table. Each month the President chooses an item (e.g. a sphere) or a category (e.g something with color). Each member can then bring up to three items they feel meet the criteria. Other activities include a 50/50 drawing. Tickets are $1 and the pot is split between the winner and the club. There is also a bring back drawing. The winner receives an item made by the previous winner and makes something for the next winner

Demonstrations

A demonstration on some aspect of woodturning follows each business meeting. Although most demonstrations and presentations are by members, we also bring in outside demonstrators. With outside demonstrations there is sometimes a class the next day.

Christmas Party

The December meeting is our annual Christmas party.
